13 February 2018 - Day 14 - Monday Cerritos Beach and witches for lunch

Woke up, fed birds and was showing my parade photos to Margie and Kelly while we had

breakfast when the unimaginable happened. Kelly accidentally spilled Margies coffee onto my computer. I had gone upstair for a minute and when I cam down Margie and Kelly were holding my computer over the sink with coffee pouring out of it looking devastated. Well shit happens. do not let it ruin your day.

Our plan for the day was to go to Cerritos beach. we waited for Diane to come down, which she did and we headed off for our last day of fun in Mazatlan.
We caught bus to Cerritos and I was very glad to see that the tide was out and there were lots of pools and sandy beach spots to explore.
We did explore a lot climbing over the rocks and looking into the pools. there were quite a few other folks there as the Carnaval brings in lots of people from all of Sinaloa. We picked up some souvenirs at the shops and after a bit we decided to go for a bite to eat at the Playa Bruja, the Witches restaurant just up the road.

It was a very hot day and the walk seemed especially long to the restaurant. we did get there and were glad to have some shade and water. Lunch was tasty and the view of the beach was very nice. Margie told us that her grandson, Alex, our great nephew, had stayed at a hotel, the Riu, just up the beach last year. We could see it from where we were. the musicians came around serenading and playing their instruments.  it was very Mexican.

We caught a cab home and started to do our pacing as we were leaving the next day. we had had a wonderful trip but were ready to go back home.
We arranged for a cab to come and pick us up  at the arranged time the next day to get us to the airport for our flight home.
