Day ten - trains, Clare, Dover castle and sheep fields

Trains

Having a diet coke on the train to Clare's
It was exciting catching the trains! Hauling our suitcases up and down flights of stairs and trying to find the right platform.

Ready to go!

Clare lives at Paddlesworth. At Paddlesworth Court.
Near Folkestone, Kent. That is her address. Do not know how anything gets there!

 Dennie checking out Clare's sheepfields
Three little lambs that they were hand-feeding. We got a chance to help feed them! Lily is the big white one. She was quite rude and wanted all the food-all the time! The little one was Ramses. He was really cute!

Margie and Charmian feeding the lambs

DOVER
I loved Dover and lept thinking of the planes in WW 2 looking for the white cliffs of Dover to know they were safe home.

Dennie with the white cliffs of Dover behind her

Dover castle

View from the top.
Dennie and Clare walking to St Maryès chapel and the remains of a roman lighthouse

Dennie in a square in Dover castle
Inside Dover castle. The walls in places were 4 feet thick.

On the battlements of Dover castle.

Battle of Britain memorial

Dennie beside a plane. Not sure what kind it is.

The monument to the fallen fliers. Saw some Canadian -RCAF plaques too!

Standing on the edge!!
The White cliffs of dover are below us and it is a long way down!
